The Flood is a horrible body horror parasite that transforms your body and invades and consumes your mind, your thoughts and your memories. It’s corruption based on revenge of the Precursors for the Forerunner’s war against them out of petty anger. The original trilogy shows this off well, and acts like a horror game when you’re getting swarmed from all angles by them.

343 era games are like “bad guys are robots, Flood too scary and gorey we removed them.” All for that lower Teen rating just to sell more copies to a broader audience. They remove the bloodiness and the gore. Hell, you could make a lake of Covenant and human blood in CE. Now you might get a couple splashes of blood to not tip that ESRB scale.

Pathetically watered down in many other aspects, but this was one that always bothered me.

I just bought a 2x8GB DDR4-3200 kit of G.skill Ripjaws at Microcenter for $59.99 on Oct 19th. The same set is currently on sale for $89.99 and original price is $119.99. Absolutely wild, I hope I don’t have any RAM die in the near future. Yes that’s real, you go from 100kph to 25kph with speed bumps and speed cameras that will absolutely ticket your ass if you’re 1kph over the limit. BR-101 in Paraíba goes through many small towns that do this, it’s great for pedestrians since the highway cuts directly though the heart of these towns but terrifying if drivers don’t pay attention. Also these speed bumps aren’t always clearly marked so rip your suspension at night

All that inflated value from circular trading with Open AI, Oracle, etc sure is looking good on paper for them, and will definitely allow Jensen another few dozen leather jackets.

It’s not 343, most of that leadership has left or fired. It’s Halo Studios now, game runs UE for graphics and the Blam! engine underneath for AI and everything else.

If you want a CoD game, pretty much any CoD up through Black Ops 2 is still decent, but only if Activision actually let’s the game go “on sale”. Halo games have a fantastic story (up until 5 at least) and the Master Chief Collection is usually on sale for $10.

Oh yeah for sure, I get inspirations from other channels, but I don’t try to directly rip them off. I don’t have that kind of charm and my videos aren’t all a single genre, they’re kinda all over the place.

Making videos for my YouTube channel. I like having random ideas, making the vids then uploading them, but man am I not good at it. My vids are mediocre at best compared to other YouTube channels I watch, but I enjoy the process.

I really like when I’m doing a funny video, I’m working on editing and think “oh this would be funny here” and add that, and do that over and over until it’s been 20 hours of editing for a 10 minute video and I have to force myself to export it and be done.

Yeah I saw a guy convert an old Toyota pickup into an EV and it cost about $18,000 IIRC. Biggest expense is obviously the batteries, followed by motor and charging system. Madman kept the original 5 speed which I absolutely respect.

Early UNSC Shaw-Fujikawa drives were a brute force punch into the other dimension, whereas Covenant adopting old Forerunner tech would slip into Slipspace more elegantly and with better accuracy. This allowed Covenant ships to slip within a single system, where UNSC ships might be within a few hundred thousand kilometers of their intended target and could not realistically attempt inter-system jumps, which I always thought was a cool detail.

Post Halo 3 when the Infinity gets Forerunner Slipspace drives and Forerunner Engineers to help adapt and implement the drives drastically improve Slipspace accuracy and speed was a huge turning point for humanity. Plus the ability to have small drop ship like crafts, Condors, have Slipspace capabilities was huge for ONI ops and smaller team excursions.

God I fucking love Halo lore.

Honestly it doesn’t surprise me. I think I lost like 5 old high school classmates in 6 months due to them being drink behind a wheel and killing themselves and others. There’s nothing to do, the culture of the entire state revolves around hanging with friends and drinking, there’s alcohol for sale at almost every store in the state besides dollar stores and because everyone drinks and drives there’s no one with common sense to talk others out of it.

Few cities have public transit, and most of it is piss poor, so people walk if they don’t have a car. Sidewalk infrastructure is a joke so people end up walking in the road. Now you see the issue.

Like someone else pointed out, 2/3 people are under the influence of something while driving in NM. Most of the time it’s alcohol, the rest is either weed or coke.

Don’t forget you can also ugga dugga them with an impact gun and cause the bolts to snap, so even if they get new lug nuts they aren’t going anywhere unless it’s up a flatbed

Same here, we used to be able to at Best Buy, but they closed that in our town so now the only option I’m aware of is the church downtown doing an e-waste recycling day once every quarter or so.

I saved a perfectly good Trinitron from being recycled there one year.

Definitely an improvement but those lyrics will give me a PTSD like reaction 😂
