Yeah, I know that I am complicated. Sorry. I really think too much sometimes. Can be annoying for everyone, even myself

That is the issue and the source of my confusion. The god in question did not change the gender, it just created avatars. Those are sometimes created in a male form and sometimes in a female. But the god itself never changed gender (as far as I could find in the lore). Avatars are, as far as I know, entities that can be infused and controlled by the will of the god but it is not the god itself. Just like a human that controls a character in a video game, those characters are the avatars of the player but not the player himself.
I don’t assume a mortal gender for any god, neither in real religions nor in fictional ones, I can’t even see how a concept like gender (or sex) even would be possible at all with a formless/shapeless entity like a god. The entity would be beyond and above our puny mortal classifications and limitations of our bodys. It would be like asking what gender water has and then saying that water is trans or genderfluid because ice sculptures in male and female form exist.
For me the sex and/or gender of an god is: god
But maybe my main issue is that overanalize it, I often have that problem unfortunately. I hope that I have not said anything bad or hurt/angered anyone. If it happend then only because of my limited knowledge not out of ill intend.
I used the male form because that’s what is used in official texts in this case, so no assumption from my side.
Thank you
Correlon is a god who uses avatars of both Sex and/or Gender. I don’t see how that makes him trans in any way, because his avatars are not much more as if a player creates a character with a different Sex and/or Gender for his interaction in the gameworld. That doesn’t makes the player trans. So how does it make Correlon trans?
Have I missed anything in the lore? Please don’t missunderstand me, I don’t want to speak against trans or want to be seen as anti-trans in any way. I literally really don’t understand this part and just ask for information or clarification.
I migrated two years ago from tt-rss to freshrss and have never looked back. It just works!

3·2 months agoMy servers and NAS were created long before Docker was a thing, and as I am running them on a rolling release distribution there never was a reason to change anything. It works perfectly fine the way it is, and it will most likely run perfectly fine the next 10+ years too.
Well I am planning, when I find the time to research a good successor, to replace my aging HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 that I use as Homeserver/NAS. Maybe I will then setup everything clean and migrate the services to docker/podman/whatever is fancy then. But most likely I will only transfer all the disks and keep the old system running on newer hardware. Life is short…
Cool, I was using that (or one very similar) for a while also. I have changed that to a Fallout Theme for Grub some time ago.
Grub theming is such a great little feature

They care because someone could see that it is possible to buy porn games in the steam interface (they could even make screenshots of a steam checkout page with both the name of a porn game and the visa/MasterCard/PayPal logos visible at the same time) and that would RUIN, RUIN I say, their good reputation… 😑 Because bank’s and payment provider do anything to keep their good reputation with the important people… advertisement companies and other Mc Scrounges

6·5 months agoSince it is impossible to implement on Linux, it may just be flagged as adult-only software.
This would render Linux unfit for use in Schools, Public Libraries, Youth Centers and other places where Children and Teenagers have access to PCs.
It is, in addition to that, possible that internal regulation of government offices prohibit the use of adult software. Not sure about it, but it would IMHO fit the mindset of bureaucrats

Linux@lemmy.ml•systemd has been a complete, utter, unmitigated success
11·5 months agoI have seen with Oracle Java and OpenOffice (as two examples) that the open source community is very good in just leaving and forking a project if the current owners fuck up.
The same will happen with systemd if needed. Red Hat may be the primary source behind systemd now, but they don’t own it. All the code is fully open source, none of your ramblings have any hint of facts or any real foreseeable danger behind it. I asked for facts, for anything with some kind of real information behind it.
There is nothing that powers the claim that RedHat or IBM could take over Linux with systemd. How would they do it? They can’t, because even if IBM would tomorrow change the license to a closed one and would want money. Who cares, everyone will just fork the version before the license change and good is.
Just as it happened back then with Xorg (I mean the change 15 or so years ago, not the current strange fork), like it happened a short while ago with Redis, and there are so many examples more.

I am using timers for some time now, because systemd timers are included and I don’t have any good reason to install a cron also.
