I went to public school in Texas. They taught us that both sides had many good points. Seriously.

Not an immigrant, but a Jew who attended a primarily Christian private school for a few years. Others of your ilk aren’t just a reminder of your own outside status—all the assholes around you take care of that on your behalf. When your classmates are told that playing “smear the queer” is not okay, but “get the Jew” is “fine,” finding someone like you presents an opportunity.

You could use the opportunity to possibly defend yourselves through unification, but we all know that’s not what you’re going to do. No, you’re going to do what was done to me. You’re going to let fear and anger guide you, because how could two of you possibly fight back; you don’t even know each other. You’re going to join the in-crowd by becoming an aggressor to the new outsider. And as long as they’re there to take the heat, you get to chill with people who will throw you in the fire as soon as they’re done with the other outsiders.

Huh, there seems to be a resounding “fuck you” to my previous comment. I think I may have either read too deep into your original comment, or I’m missing something that’s implied.

I read your comment as, “teachers are practically Mr. Rogers and it speaks volumes that they’d disparage anyone.” Did I misunderstand?

Gotta lay the foundation for small squabbles so that we can build a proper straw man whenever we wanna invade our allies.

I’ve met many teachers who definitely shouldn’t be armed around students.

I wish I could agree with you, but when I worked at a campus, I heard teachers make similar remarks about children of color.

“They care about teaching and keep the kids safe,” were among the reasons why these teachers should get to keep their jobs.

I’d think that silently forcing a child to accept their fate due to systemic racism due to your biases would be considered an act of aggression, but apparently I was at fault for reporting this behavior.

I’m putting this on my prediction board:

1. Try cancelling midterms due to “unprecedented” issues
2. Fury rises around potentially cancelled voting
3. Tax refunds get delayed or cancelled to financially support… Whatever all this is. Used a further evidence that the midterms should be cancelled
4. We the poors are too busy arguing and fighting over tax refunds to fight for the midterms

How ready MAGA are to believe that our defenses would be vulnerable if we were to hold midterms will determine whether we attack Greenland before or after the midterms election window. Calling that, too.

My predictions are often wrong, so I hope that I’m just publicly humiliating myself.

I used to run my thumbnail across them. My fingertips were constantly black and smell like fireworks/hotdogs.

I also got the party started by being the first to downvote myself. The first person to upvote me probably made it look like I didn’t downvote myself.

But the second person to upvote me… Now that’s the real bastard. They made my comment seem like it deserved upvotes, and ushered in others who thought this was a comment worthy of their support.

If I ever find out who gave me that second upvote… I’d probably be like, “huh? What second upvote? What are we even talking about?”

This was just another step on the path. Maybe a little leap. I was watching with a coworker when I said, “they’re going to win the next election. Prison or not, this was his Beer Hall Putsch.”
