If they stopped existing tomorrow another company would step in and advertise just as much. This only changes with government intervention or the better but unlikely solution of consumer attitude changes towards littering.

Is it not people doing that? Why single out coca cola? If they stopped existing tomorrow, it would just be another brand of soda that people were mindlessly littering.
Looked it up, could only find bans of BPA, which has since been replaced with BPS. Can you confirm BPS is actually banned?
Having been on Lemmy for a year now, one stark contrast to Reddit is how much sarcasm just goes over everybody’s head here. Sarcastic comments are always down voted into oblivion, despite agreeing with the common consensus in the thread.
Because parents comment on our “selfish” child free life all fucking day long, I guess

I’ve owned a Tesla and I’d say your wrong about pretty much everything here.
The whole point of buying an EV is that it stops polluting after it’s been manufactured (ignoring tires) and specifically that you stop polluting your local environment, making it out like used gas powered cars are just as good as used EVs is disingenuous at best.
My Lemmy experience has been better than Reddit ever was, but that honestly sounds like cope. Vast swaths of people couldn’t even be bothered to figure out an instance to pick, now the few that bothered are having to migrate. I think this will be a big net loss for Lemmy.
