That is true, capitalism deserves its share of the blame but this ain’t it. Capitalism isn’t even done properly in this regard - tyranny is what this is, and for a capitalist society they sure are doing a terrible job at capitalism.

It’s not a dead set value. The worst you can do is keep charging it way past 100%

99% of the smart stuff that exist in the market don’t fundamentally need internet connectivity. A smart bed (lol) is one of them. If the corporate cared about the good, they would’ve went with locally managed devices.
I doubt most website owners are in on this scheme …
A scheme not totally up to their control - as most website owners are not fully in control of their website.
It is known the present internet is now majorly influenced by centralized corporate structures. As such market share of Wordpress (mobiloud.com) represents around 45%, used provide a platform for website hosting used for CAM and non-CAM applications; Other percentages are corresponding to shopify, wix, etc.
It is incorrect to assume the majority of website owners are fully independent of corporate management. Other point to consider is google dependence, which is something that occurs more deeply than website deployment and is a major influence on ads within websites.
but in a somewhat less aggravating way.
This is a quite interesting point to take in. The ads are there but not a straight to the face like website ads are.
TikTok and TikTok alternatives as mentioned, use ads that pop up periodically, but naturally - as in it can be indistinguishable to other content that is presented. As said, the ads are less intrusive and more so designed to occupy the user for a couple of seconds to not effectively brake their inertia of scrolling.
The status quo in the ad sector looks mismatched - but possibly for a purpose. It is known that ads are not only used for advertising on its own, but as a method of manipulation (e.g: YouTube premium). The friendly nature of TikTok ads in contrast to intrusive website ads poses an important question if the design is intentional and in result manipulative. In result, individuals of all ages are drawn to short form content and drawn from effective long form content. Additionally, since most individuals irrespective of age are essentially living off of short form content, it means they don’t have effective strategies developed to navigate or use the power of the wider internet. This situation is attributed to discouragement; in effect all age groups are seen to be affected - even considering many individuals which have skills for browsing the wider internet.

Once, the label “made in China” was an indication of a poor product whilst “made in Germany” was regarded as the finest quality.
Today, Chinese cars are regarded as more reliable than their German counterparts.

It’s a situation where they’re underplaying the role of a tram, while further glorifying cars. If a car parked in the middle of a car going road there would be outrage and hefty fines. While in this case, it is relatively lightly brushed off.

They? We treat it as a toy. All of us. And it’s all because the system is designed that way. Don’t go blaming the young adults, the teens; and the children for something you might also be doing.
Narcissism won’t get you anywhere - our internet is capitalised by corporations and you’re blaming people that are trying to do something about it. To raise some awareness.

Late stage capitalism is what this is.

I see you never downloaded a car before.

The corpos and the government lick each others boots - it’s a 2-way relationship. They care more about the abusers than the victims in this regard. Children is just a term designed to go against its populace, and more harm being done in the long run.

The biggest child abuser in this law is the government. All they are doing is using up all the loop holes in the UNCRC and human rights to manipulate their way into their “ultimate truth”.

There always seems to be some kind of corruption amongst the governing class. And even if the government is technically guided by the people, this dynamic gets ultimately manipulated to further their authoritarian tyranny.

Agreed, it is tiring to type about:profiles each time, and then it auto corrects it to about:profiling instead.
YouTube is usually the final straw in degoogling. It’s not like there is much of a competition with other services really.
There is peer tube and odyssey which exist as alternatives, but the one common problem with them is the lack of educational content or other types of content.
So if you want a person to explain you a concept you don’t understand - you are destined to go to YouTube.

Now this is certainly a worrying sight. It was deployed covertly where minimal sources of information existing apart from the obvious bootlicking employed on the official sites and the odd article.
All that is provided is a painting full of roses, no substance. It essentially translates to “just trust me bro” and we all must gulp it down just like the good citizens we are.

Big gov and big corp are essentially the same thing. And while the people jump ship to be at the mercy of the “better side”, the elites are sharing a cocktail in secret.
The scale still remains, however one side tilted more so than the other.

There is a good video that explains this kind of phenomenon. First it starts with a political 1D left-right line then ends with a political tesseract.
Important thing is, it is better off to treat it as a spectrum rather than a graph. Because, as implied - complexity.

One thing that people forget when talking about speed limits is the physical infrastructure.
Feeling reasonable is directly correlated to the designed speed of the road, meaning it’s an engineering problem. If a road isn’t engineered to its specifications the speed limits imposed are merely a suggestion.
So is z ai an ai which uses more critical thinking patterns to make it better?
