The Pixel 10a is supposed to be released next month; you may find better prices on a used 9a then. Be advised that the Pixel 10 and later have a feature on stock Android to reduce the usable capacity of your battery as you own the device, and this cannot be disbled. I’m not sure if GrapheneOS can disable this, but it’s worth checking.

I’m very happy with an 8 I got after the 9 came out. I think 8a is cheaper? Like the other post says, you may find better deals on the 9a once the 10a comes out. But I’d say an 8a should be fine.
Iirc I read complaints that the Pixel 8 had a screen glass with curves at the edges which made it difficult to apply a tempered glass screen protector. If protecting the screen from damage with a tempered glass screen protector is important to you then I’d recommend double-checking whether the model you’re looking at works fine with such protection. (I don’t think I’ve seen anything about the newer Pixel models having that issue, but it doesn’t hurt to double-check.)
Check their table of security update EOL dates before deciding, but I’d look at a 6a, 7a, or 8a. Careful on the 6a, while it may be cheaper, consider they had battery issues bad enough to where Google initiated a replacement program. Shop used or open box.
