People need to understand this. Laws aren’t things that exist by themselves. They are worthless if they are not followed/enforced.

Be that as it may, they will have a hard time getting this one past the courts, even as such. Although they could maybe run him as vp or something like putin did sort of with medvedev.

But old man time is going to exercize his veto at some point, the guy has lost his mind. He already is being led around by the hand by the party, they have led him to repudiated and destroy his America First legacy, making him look like a weak puppet and alienating his biggest supporters that were not already die hard party faithful.

He is a joke, he can barely keep it together, no way he’s cognizant in 3 years for a campaign, right? Idk they can keep him as a puppet if they can keep him technically still standing. But there will have to be a succession at some point, and that would be our chance to take it back.

If only we had popular reform to take it back, and not status quo, I’m not the other guy, and I will maybe try to not make things markedly worse for your beyond the normal amount of rot we’ve come to expect. We might even throw some money at some of the problems caused by the rich stealing your lunch, but never call out the rich stealing your lunch. No we might subsidize the purchasing of a second lunch that maybe the rich won’t steal all of. So to speak.

There is no chance with another status quo campaign to overcome the election thievery the republicans plan on doing every which way. And no way they would force a change if they won anyway, they are chosen to be weak and that’s the entire thing. Either we give them strong leadership, or the republicans will.

Almost everything you said was wrong. Trump will not be counting on the courts siding with him. He could get involved in a war to postpone elections if he sufficiently purges the military. He could threaten enough judges and Congress members with a Night of Long Knives to ensure a majority. We don’t live in a Republic right now, we live in a dictatorship where law is merely an inconvenience.

Trump also isn’t a puppet and it always infuriates me when people think that. He is a powerful political force that does not listen to what others want. He owns the party and it is nothing without him; they need him not the other way around. He won over enough of the wealthy by promising absolute corruption, but destroying the American global hegemony and burning neoliberalism to the ground is not in their long term interests. They saw rising populism and got swept into supporting their own downfall on the world stage because they are not masterminds; they’re just people who were lucky and evil enough to win the game.

A status quo neoliberal candidate cannot beat Trump because no candidate can beat Trump. He has the crown; it’s game over. He will only leave office in a body bag, which thankfully will not take that long.

However, a status quo neoliberal candidate can beat JD Vance. After Trump is dead, the public, the rich, and even the Trump cultists will drop fascism like a hot coal. The right wingers will be sick enough of the failed economy to pretend they never supported fascism, and basically any candidate that claims to be the opposite of that will win. It wouldn’t surprise me if even Vance tries to walk back all the unpopular shit and act “normal,” even if it’s doomed to fail. This will all be possible because Trump is not a puppet, but the linchpin of his movement. Someone else might have been able to do something similar, but Trump was just the right man at the right time to become king.

You are right that we need a progressive candidate to actually make things better, but 2 things make that unlikely.

            1. When China takes Taiwan it will crash the economy and turn much of the country into red scare mode. Everything that has happened recently in America has only made it more likely, and the only way they don’t invade is if Taiwan surrenders. Trump might even throw them to the wolves at this point. This will be used to attack the left and group in everyone from anarchists to progressive liberals as communist traitors. It could galvanize the left, but it could also be enough for the Gavin Newsoms of the party to win the next open election.

            2. The rich will use their control over news, social media, and in office politicians to engineer a return to “normal.” Just like when Biden won, nothing will be fixed and things will continue to get worse, but we’ve lived in an oligarchy for some time now and we won’t stop unless the public pressure is overwhelming and extreme. The rich need to genuinely be scared of people hanging them in the streets to allow reforms, and right now they are confident that the public is under their thumb. Guillotine memes aren’t enough, there needs to be mobilized leftists gaining power for them to send out progressive liberal candidates rather than more cops.

Stealing elections has been a half century long (re-) progression, and we can draw a straight line from 2000 through 2020 to now. This doesn’t end with the president.

As to the president, he’s losing it, we can all see it, he’s falling asleep at televised meetings, he’s led to betray his America First agenda Bannon crafted for him that allowed him to win in the first place and in the process is alienating a lot of his fan base that was only loyal to him, not the party.

The succession will be a knife fight in the viper’s nest, and a chance to take it back, uphill given they control the feds and most states and blue states are weak besides and red counties still could cheat in spots, the party has the inner workings of all the voting systems and people in the inside, and if they control the gerrymandered legislatures they can just vote in faithless electors, as the state level in many battleground states now as they passed laws in 2021 allowing such, in places like GA, I think AZ and WI too even, on top of the voter suppression, and different means they left to find votes for their guys before and after the fact from purging rolls in blue districts before, to signature matching and the like afterwards.

Then the national congress could just vote in their own guy even if that all failed, and a new national federal force of thugs can suppress resistance, send in specialized units of the willing to take out protests and leaders along with politicized fbi and justice department officials, national guards can be federalized, put areas under martial law with those specialized units of their partizans doing the heavy work, etc.

None of this was started by the president, this is all stuff the party has been working towards for decades, this iteration starting in 1971 at the business roundtable, they made further refinements, but project 2025 is basically an evolution of that long game they made to overthrow working people from their government, and in doing so they’ve created a monster they can’t control that will destroy them one way and or others sooner than later.

To succeed in taking the country from the party in the succession, the opposition needs a popular reform ticket with an aggressive champion leading the troops, with aggressive influencers up and down the line, we need someone that can build and run a political machine, a Strong Leader. It’s hopeless following your influencers, they are playing you by the way, there is no way out under them. Popular Reform with strong leadership is the only way out.

Either we give America Reform, or the Republicans Will.
