Right now, my default is Cromite, and I occasionally use Brave as well. I have tried Firefox with uBO, but unfortunately it is slower than the aforementioned browsers and also lacks some features. I’ve also heard that Gecko-based browsers in general have a security issue on Android, but I don’t know the details. Which browser(s) do you use/recommend and why?
ironfox + noscript, it’s a hardened version of firefox. I prefer firefox based browsers in general, they feel less restrictive.
Can second this. I also use Ironfox + NoScript (among a few other extensions).
Though I will say that an annoying trend in some websites nowadays is to make the site not work whatsoever unless NoScript is completely disabled, even if all the scripts are whitelisted. So, yeah, be prepared for that bullshit.
Will check it out. Thanks!
Anytime!
Good luck, friend!
I was gonna say Tor, but if Firefox with uBO was too slow…

I’m sorry, I love Firefox everywhere else, but Chromium is just so much faster on Android it’s not even funny.
And Cromite is incredibly degoogled and hardened, to the point of having its own internal firewall just in case, pulling in the work of tons of other projects. It’s completely non commercial. Its built in adblocker is effective, very fast, and unaffected by any of the upstream changes breaking ublock.
The only ‘downside’ is its not on Google Play. And that, some day, the main dev could stop updating it, I suppose.

That is why we have Cromite (Bromite fork) in the first place. The same could be said for IronFox (Mull fork) as well.
