For a second, I thought this was about the upcoming sequel to 28 Years Later.
During the film’s theatrical run, 28 Years Later earned $70.4 million domestically and nearly $79.7 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $150.1 million. The film had a production budget of $60 million, according to The Numbers.
Not too bad from my understanding.
As I mentioned in one of the bigger 28 Years Later threads, I didn’t know what to think of it. I actually didn’t like the early parts that were the most sequel-like part of the film. The latter parts had some strange moments and I am still not sure if parts were supposed to be funny or if it’s just me. But I liked the Boyle didn’t just create a straightforward low-risk sequel (even if it would be cool on some level).
I will probably watch the sequel in cinema (if I can find it in English).
