- I spoke out because it was the right thing to do, not because a poem said they’d eventually come for me
- A nice g’day to you too. - This isn’t written by me though Here’s the source https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1326397762135128&set=a.699378268170417

- I’m pale male stale, middle Britain where diversity is very limited. I’ve decided that this is the hill I die on out of principle that society should only ever give people more rights, not take them away. - At some point you have to actually address the fuckery that is causing you to need so many specific protections - But it’s not a bad rule of thumb, people generally don’t ask for rights unless they need them

- I spoke out … on lemmy … to a bunch of people who don’t need to hear the message. And I’m thinking if cancelling my Disney subscription … but I wanna watch the next Only Murders in the Building. Power to the people! - The Pirate Bay will always be with us. - Like literally. It’s impossible to take down and there are infinite mirrors basically

- thank you to all people that help :) i’m so tired of justifying my existance
- I spoke out since they came for the indigenous folks, and I haven’t ended speaking since.
- I cut family out of my life for this reason. - I don’t give a single wet shit about blood if you’re a hateful bigot.
- First they came for the “illegal” immigrants, now it’s the trans people…but at the same time also now they are going ove the legal immigrants too
- Poem? - First they came for the Communists - And I did not speak out - Because I was not a Communist - Then they came for the Socialists - And I did not speak out - Because I was not a Socialist - Then they came for the trade unionists - And I did not speak out - Because I was not a trade unionist - Then they came for the Jews - And I did not speak out - Because I was not a Jew - Then they came for me - And there was no one left - To speak out for me - https://hmd.org.uk/resource/first-they-came-by-pastor-martin-niemoller/
