A new Census Bureau report establishes that poverty increased over the course of the Biden administration. The data is yet another rebuke to the politicians and commentators who insisted economic conditions under Joe Biden were great.
Is the timing of this report supposed to distract from how insanely much worse things have gotten after Biden? Not saying the report isn’t accurate, just think the timing is suspicious.
Yep. Not saying Biden didn’t suck. Just saying it’s weird complaining that the roof had a leak a year ago when you’re currently drowning in a flood, that’s all.
It is supposed to demonstrate that the democrat establishment doesn’t yield material improvements for the country and that voting for them is useless and dangerous.
I mean… the democrats aren’t great, but I can’t understand how people would pick the republicans over them. “Not yielding material improvements” is miles better than what’s going on right now.
That’s not really the issue here: regardless of which party is in charge, the conditions in the country get worse. Most voters (when they choose to go to vote) are doing so with recency bias.
It’s also not the fault of voters that the democrats ran an objectively horrible campaign that made MAGA look like real political theory. Things like “Nothing will fundamentally change” and “US needs the most lethal army in the world” are genuinely worse than a billionaire claiming that he’ll shake the country down. People saw the nothingness of the democrats and chose the something that the republicans offered.
One thing that liberals in the US will never understand is that the republicans are correct about their assessments of the democrats: weak, smug and untrustworthy.
Honestly, I do feel like weak, smug and untrustworthy is pretty spot on. Would still pick that every single time over a republican who is also very much weak, smug and untrustworthy in addition to desperately wanting to be a fascist dictator. But yeah, the 2 party system really leaves a lot to be desired.

You see, the absolutely fucking crazy and insane one trick that they don’t want you to know is,
Successful methods of government make things better over time, not “worse” and then “worse but Blue”

it’s not weird at all, it’s super relevant to why the dems lost, which should be important to democrats so they dont eat shit again.
