There was an article out there about how the website fightchatcontrol was impactful against the Chat Control idiocy of Denmark. Maybe we need something similar for the wealth tax. It is the biggest lever, I think, that we can use to get more equality in our societies and take power from the anti-immigrant narrative. It would also weaken those in power as they would gradually lose their wealth and make it possible for more citizens to be informed --> less control.
I truly believe that a more educated public will naturally be left-leaning and progressive.
@[email protected] would you help with this?
I think it could only be helpful so long as it’s factual, nonpartisan (be on the side of the people, not the party), avoid political finger pointing, and provides reason and logical basis for it’s points, and does so (at least at the opening page) at a level that can be ingested quickly by someone with a low ability to process. It’s a hard ask but not unreasonable or unworthy. You would/could of course provide links and more information for those that want to understand more. But to spread a message quickly and effectively you’ll need to shape the initial impressions for the lowest common intelligence.
Some short powerful phrases would likely help too. “Tax wealth, not work.” Is one I’ve been partial to for that reason. It hits home with a lot of people and doesn’t inject a particular ideology.
Just my thoughts on it though. I’m sure others would disagree with me on some of those points.
As a tl;dr, definitely could help, just needs to be more cautious than fightchatcontrol, because it’s a more politicized point (at least in the US).
