You’re right, I use public transit and if someone were to be sleeping on the bench while I was waiting for the bus it would just ruin my entire life forever in every possible way, unless I just got the fuck over it and went on with my day or something, but I don’t think that’s an option.
But the bus only comes every four hours, how do we expend resources to make my life easier while waiting for the bus if we dont spend them punishing people more desperate than me!?
You just fucking hate working people, fucking commie.
But if every day & all night long, people are sleeping on that bench so it can never be used for its intended purpose of paying customers waiting-for-bus, that’s where the problem lies.
Sleeping on benches is apparently such a huge problem that many public places have no seating options available anywhere anymore. I recall traveling daily through the DC Metro, brutalist concrete architecture everywhere, on my feet all day, and it was even illegal to sit on the ground to rest my throbbing legs for 30 seconds. I was even sitting on a BALL that I had, and Metro employee comes up to me and tells me “NO SITTING ALLOWED. KEEP MOVING.” 🤬
I fucking despise [insert whatever nouns to suit the topic].
So, the authorities not allowing anyone at all to sit or rest and removing all of the public seating is to be blamed on unhoused people? The people actively causing you to not be allowed to sit and rest, for even a moment, are the unhoused, they’re the ones who took that from you?
No, my second paragraph was simply expressing anger at the fact there’s nowhere to sit anymore. Blaming it on authorities for removing all seats, and even the right to sit.
Fuck all the way off. Way to move the goalpost from letting people use benches to sleep to demanding people give up their homes for others. You’re the exact kind of piece of shit I had clocked you for, thanks for proving my point.
Denying it so somebody can sit for five minutes while they wait for the bus sure isn’t.
If lack of bench space is a problem due to homeless people sleeping on it, the solution isn’t making them unable to sleep on benches. It’s getting them in homes. And if that solution isn’t available, saying fuck them in favor of people having bench-sitting access is not a great argument.
To be clear, anyone who complains about lack of space to sit at a bus stop due to a homeless person sleeping on it, and instead of feeling pity for the homeless person and fighting for the homeless, chooses to be mad at the homeless person and fight against the homeless (by supporting those anti-sleeping bench measures), that person is an inhuman piece of shit.
We shoukd each do what we can to make the world the best we can. For you, that means keeping your mouth closed and your hands in your pants, so you aren’t making words at the rest of us.

Thanks for the clarification, I apologize for being crass.
