It wouldn’t be good for my reputation.

The reputation: “Hey remember that guy? No, no, the other one, had homeroom with him in 8th grade? No, not that guy. Not Chris, no. You don’t remember? Fuck, what was his name?”

Dude is like a physical manifestation of the:

“Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the Weather.”

If there was a chemical that could universally make people leftists, the USSR would have discovered it and put it in the public water supply. (And if it exists, I want some. I don’t need it for myself, but it’d be neat to see what it does to me, and slipping some to my dad would fix a lot of my family problems.)

Well, I think I’m pretty far left. So that’d be neat, to see how much further left a person could be, and something about experimenting on myself makes it so much better than a willing test subject or unwitting victim.

The only person I know who did DMT regularly turned into an evangelical who claimed to be a direct line to Jesus. Then he started claiming to be Jesus and tried starting a cult. These days he’s oddly a 2014 anti-sjw type, like a time capsule.

Psychedelics in general can make you feel more connected to the universe and all life, the revelation of the ‘oneness’ and the interconnectivity of existence is a relatively common experience on powerful psychedelics, which can often lead to an increased care for the environment and empathy for others

So logical people that realise we are all one and the same, tend to become more egalitarian and thus leftist in their politics

But if people like the OOP thought logically they wouldn’t be chuds in the first place

      spoiler

If that’s something you’d like to experience I’d recommend LSD, psilocybin or oral DMT(Ayahuasca) over smoked/vaped DMT as the experience of the latter is very quick you don’t often have time to reflect on and integrate any revelations you may have

as with any drug do your research, follow harm reduction practices etc

I’ve only tried it twice at lowish doses, at that level it was similar to shrooms but lasted longer and a different body load, I’d expect there’d be more noticeable differences at a higher dose

That was synthetic mescaline, taking Peyote or San Pedro would be quite different

If you can get your hands on it, as with anything id suggest dabbling in low and moderate doses before going for a mind melt, follow best harm reduction practices

If you’re asking if I’d recommend it for a psych noob, I’d actually recommend shrooms more as a 50 liberty cap/1g p. cube trip is a good introduction on what to expect for psychedelics without being overwhelming

A low dose mescaline trip could possibly be good for a noob, the only thing I’d watch out for is since its quite a rare drug(in places where it isn’t in local flora at least) purity and thus dosage can vary a bit( erowid and such as good dosage info but purity can move that around some what) like I said I don’t have experience with the cacti but I think it would be possible to measure by weight, but going for a traditional native or the pseudo version of such from what I’ve read there recipes are intended to be strong

Assuming you can get it in person then you’ll probably have people you can talk to regarding dosage and such (although don’t take anecdotes as gospel, people who can take heroic dosages can overestimate how much less experienced people will need)

If you’re getting it from a DNM, and your goal is just to trip if you haven’t before, then I’d go with something more common like acid or shrooms

Wizard flipping unironically kind of turned me leftist. One of the guys at the festival i talked to later told someone else in my group that he saw me literally change overnight. But I think that was more of a “you are primed to realize all these things but just need something to kick off the avalanche” type deal
