Great tits have been found to possess special physiological adaptations for cold environments.
Fantastic!

Huzzah!
It looks a lot like a black-capped chickadee. Rural regions of the northeast US are lousy with them. (Chickadees, I mean. Not tits.) Cool birds. Very friendly.
Today I learned that tits and chickadees are in the same family. And depending on where you are in the northeast/new england, you might get a glimpse of this little weirdo.
This one is the closest to what I’m used to seeing. Cheeky little bastards, but impossible not to love.
Can confirm. They are cute little weirdos.
We have a pair of titmouses. Titmice? At our feeder! 😊 They are tiny, adorable weirdos for sure.
I saw about half a dozen of them hanging out in a tree today. A couple hours later one flew in and out of my bathroom.
Typically I’d have to look very carefully to spot even one. They’re quite well camouflaged.
My region is unfortunately titless.
Oh, I see. You must live in the flatlands.
I live in the northeastern US, and as another poster said, we’re covered in black capped chickadees.
… I don’t have a euphemism for any of that. … boobs.
Yeah, Europe is way more liberal with the tits. Can’t go outside without seeing at least a few
You might have the tufted titmouse
For us North American folks.

♡
They probably don’t make great pets, but I want to pet one so bad :)
