Are you required (currently) to use that digital ID to access some types of websites?

Can you browse porn without submitting a selfie? Or your digital ID?

The general concern is that once online digital ID is required, people will be forced to use if for ALL internet activity.

To be fair I don’t know the exact situation in various places, but it looks like UK is heading that way rapidly. China is already there for some time now (?)

Eventually, it will be required to log into any form of social media and “Droggelbecher” could (will) be associated with your real name.

Yes, the websites for digitally checking my medical files and for doing my taxes. I could do both of those in person with my physical ID.

And yeah, you just press a lil button that says ‘im over 18’. No proof required.

They did write into the law that it’d never be required to have digital ID. But the concerns make sense, thanks for your reply!

Changing the law to require Digital ID is as as simple as changing the word “never” to “will”

Well then that would be the point where it becomes important to protest it. Being against it right now, with what it’s currently like here, seems paranoid to me.
