Has Summit ever considered potentially adding full link preview card support — similar to how Reddit handles shared links, where the link image and the link itself are merged into a single, unified preview card?

Currently, when sharing a link, the Summit app either:

shows the image and link as separate elements,

or

sometimes doesn’t display the link image at all.

Having an integrated link preview card (where the image is clickable and displays a small link icon overlay, indicating it leads off-platform) would make posts look cleaner and more visually engaging. It would also improve consistency between Lemmy web and mobile clients, and make browsing link posts feel more intuitive.

This would be especially helpful for news, blogs, and media content — anywhere the link thumbnail plays a key role in context or engagement.
