By all accounts the virus is airborne and highly contagious. I think the first episode had planes spraying large populated areas just to make sure everyone was infected.

Plus he works/owns a self storage facility. I think it took ~30 days for everyone to get infected, and I have to imagine he was in contact with people within the past 30 days.

It’s possible, but seems unlikely to me.

I think Manussos had contact with virus by forced kiss or through air by now. Maybe he had just like one interaction with the hive, and then decided to completely shut himself from everyone.

Sure, look at the sky and you should see delivery drone right above your current location. Just a little advice if we may, be careful when you are drunk. Enjoy.

Well, at least she stopped driving the shitty truck.

This episode felt like twenty minutes of material stretched out to an hour. The intro scene, much like the Sprouts one last week, just went on way too long. We all knew what was going to happen but it’s spelled out for us anyway.

And of course just as the episode starts getting good, it ends.

Yeah, this episode gave me Severance season 2 vibes. Hopefully it picks back up because the first two episodes were really well paced, but I’m starting to skip 10 seconds constantly and not missing anything in the shot.

IMO the whole show is about vibes more than advancing the plot.

There’s maybe two paragraphs of plot in the first 4 eps, but the magic is in how it’s presented.

Because it’s an Apple show they can let the stuff breathe and have silent bits where everything isn’t stated out loud for the Netflix drones doomscrolling while they “watch” the show.

    Really enjoyed this episode.

Starting with the self storage man, it was great to see how he’s been behaving and his interaction with Carol.

Something I do wonder is that it was previously stated he wasn’t initially known about, but was discovered some time later. He doesn’t really appear to be in hiding. He’s in a fairly public location. He probably saw a few people at some point over the few days before the hive mind activated, but when they all joined they didn’t notice his absence. So what happened that alerted them?

The story of Carol going to “camp” was so well told and I think a great way to look at her forced hive mind conversation. I do wish the other solo people were around because I think that would make for an interesting conversation, especially for those that want to join the hive. Do they just want to “fit in”?

Also Carol drugging Zosia is such a dark path to go down. I’m guessing Zosia lives, but a direct death by Carol would be interesting to play out. She knows she’s killed millions, and that weighed on her heavily, but what will an (in)direct murder do for her?

Air Force One guy talked about the world being at peace. What if those not yet part of the hive start fighting each other? Can the hive mind do anything to stop it?

They may have assumed he was amongst the dead until they discovered him hiding in his building.

Pluribus: Oh yes, We love movies, we love camera angles and transitions.

So Pluribus was afraid, that Carol’s plan was gonna succeed. I hope her search for the “cure” won’t be too stretched out.

Given the way the hive reacted I wonder if the cure is relatively simple. For example an intense negative emotional outburst, like Carol previously caused, put the hive into a seizure-like state, similar to when they first all joined. It would also explain why the hive is trying to keep everyone not joined happy and why the hive seems to only have positive memories.

Would Carol be willing to kill millions upon millions of people in order to end the hive mind? Would the hive just evacuate all of North America in order stay away from Carol?
