Nato is a US colonial project to whip europeans into jumping head first into whatever cockamamie global war the US has lined up so no, it won’t. This is just desperate wishcasting.

Like what’s gonna happen. The US takes Greenland and then every european country suddenly grows a backbone, and, as a block, expel all US military personnel and hardware?

Random example, Romania has the world’s largest concentration of US himars, after America. You think they’re gonna say no to having that in their back pocket in exchange for no EU concession? The EU will quickly find they don’t have enough concessions to give eastern europe to say NO to their american presence.

I think this is the right take. The US could roll up to almost any EU country and say “this is mine now” and nobody would do shit about it. NATO is not an alliance it is an extension of the US war machine

I mean, I could see local resistance (not goverment) in countries like Spain, Portugal, Ireland, France, Greece and Italy but I doubt they would be able to do any meaniful damage against the US. The US basically owns all of Western Europe and neutered Eastern Europe besides Russia and Belarus.

  • I will never stop laughing if this breaks the imperial machine.

I am forever angry because the ghouls were able to sell my country to nato after all those decades of people just not wanting it. How easily it shifted in the end (tbf the propaganda push was intense, Ukraine was almost too convenient a story for it).

But it would never stop being hilarious if this shit fell apart just a few years after the local bougies got their ultimate wish. I would never not mention it everywhere I can.

the comedic timing would be perfect, especially after we’ve completely demolished any relationship we had with Russia barking like a dog that thinks it’s ten times it’s size.

      • Yeah, I’d start going around asking: “Who’s all alone now motherfuckers?”

Like the natohawks did not listen to us “nato-critics” at all, no matter how many times we tried to repeat that this is just handing over the last of our sovereignity and giving a full pass to the US and wannabe euro-imperialists to use the country as a playground for their Russia related warmongering, just like it was done by the imperialists prior to ww2. Instead they signed the DCA on top of this shit.

The unserious argument has always been that the smol bean nazi country needs big allies to survive, but the Soviet Union was never good enough for the bougies even though they and the country prospered thanks to our big beautiful neighbour, boy did it prosper.

And here we are, having joint this clearly failing “defence union” at the last hour of the empire. Only to see the entire welfare state get gutted for it. With the added joy of listening to nato planes fly here all day long while the homeless freeze to death in the streets. Clearly a winning bet, very much the sort the country has always made. Yet nobody seems to be disillusioned by it, it’s just “Trump is an anomaly” all day long.

What I would give to see this house of cards come crumbling down when the biggest natohawks are still alive, I really really hope they are forced to see the damage they have done. I for one will rub it in their face as long as I have breath left in me.

It should, but it won’t, because the USA has control of so much of the military hardware and munitions. And they might legitimately trip over themselves because of the lack of expulsion mechanism in the NATO treaty.
