Is this dystopian game something I can afford with my savings from not paying union dues?

Same book described farmers letting good food rot because they needed to raise prices. If they gave the food away it would drop prices lower than they already were.

Like you said, banks would take people’s homes and abandon them because they didn’t want to set the standard that you could take loans out and not pay them.

Over 100 years ago the Great Depression proved without a doubt that capitalism is a garbage system and the only safety net it has is tax payer money.

If a bank that’s “too big to fail” and they’re on a downhill path, why waste resources trying to dig themselves out when they know they’ll get a fat paycheck from the people.

It’s insane to me that there’s middle/lower class people that defend this shit.

That’s true, but from what I remember, half the class was either goofing off, sleeping, or straight up not there. Education as a whole isn’t valued in the US anymore. Students/parents blame teachers when their kid doesn’t magically absorb the information without doing any of the work or studying. Trade schools are becoming more popular because of the costs of college, but deep down, they think it’s an easy way to make good money. Those trades require hard work as well. Cost of college is most definitely contributed to the overall lack of education but that’s not causing the average US high schooler to have a reading level of a 5th grader in the UK.

Came here to say the same thing. 2 of my favorite genres rolled into one epic game.

Before Elden Ring my favorite was RDR2. Didn’t think it was going to get bumped down anytime soon.

Playing that now, just beat fake monk, next is the gorilla. Once the combat clicked for me everything made sense.

Idk if you’re being sarcastic but Hollow Knight is far from the best game of all time. Not saying it’s not good, but to crown it ahead of soooo many better games is pretty ridiculous.

I’m a huge fan of Souls-like games but I have no problem with a difficulty slider IF the hardest setting rewards you with exclusive achievements or access to bonus areas in the game. It would be funny if the easiest setting replaces bosses with cute animals or something. Like kill this baby deer or play on hard mode.

Also, IMO if a game is not challenging it becomes incredibly boring after a few hours. I tried playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and put it on the hardest setting and it was like mild sauce from Taco Bell. Only bonus was a tiny more XP.

This makes me want to go back for a 3rd playthrough. Especially since I have a steam deck now and have been playing through older games, like Sekiro right now.

I’m basically in the same boat as OP except opposite job direction (went from labor to desk). Over a decade of manual labor with no scheduled lunch breaks has left me with poor eating habits. I tried meal prepping but ended up doing what your friend was doing, loading up on fruits and vegetables with some protein. Wouldn’t eating stuff like buttered potatoes and drinking a couple glasses of milk everyday lead to heart problems? Or would cardio and being underweight basically cancel that out?
