I’m enjoying it on the public server. I have a couple chars that I only play with family, and a shadow priest that I just got to 60 recently and decided to join a guild (had been 100% solo prior). The guild experience is nice - good, helpful people who don’t have ridiculous expectations of casual players.

Wouldn’t be surprising.

Notice how so many christians will say that the problem with the world is a lack of emphasis on god (which is why we need prayer in school, etc.), but the vast majority of these murderers are conservative christians?

Christy Walton has been outspoken and supportive of the movement, but I haven’t seen evidence that she’s bankrolling it. She for sure doesn’t speak for the company, which is more conservative.

One interesting thing at my local one in southern California: several people were waving large state flags. Lots of American flags as well, but I thought the state flags were interesting.

I couldn’t be available for the first half of out local one (SoCal), and had to stay phone accessible for the second half, but I drive through it. Honestly, the turnout was insane. I saw the huge crowd at the intersection where it was supposed to be, and thought it was really impressive. Then I drove through it and the crowd was just thicker and thicker as I went - it went for blocks. My friend went and he said it was a great experience - everyone was peaceful. Lots of cops, but just being present they way they should be when there are thousands of people on the street.

Hopefully this time there’s more news coverage. This AP story is a good start.

Well, that’s bullshit. There are several groups of white, European immigrants that have non-trivial illegal populations, but none of those have been raided. Only black and Latino.

During the Renaissance, there were certainly a lot of the weirdly adult baby Jesus paintings, but there were also realistic examples from the time (that one is Raphael, one of the great masters).

I read the article hoping to find out how being sideswiped by an e-scooter could total a truck, but I was left unsatisfied.

Yeah, my thought too. There are enough things wrong with that company - this one policy change doesn’t seem that bad to me. I mean, I’d certainly prefer more leeway than less, but there are a million other chains with more restrictive dress codes. For many, it’s a single specific color pants and a uniform shirt. The updated dress code isn’t horrific.
