I always substitute the r word when I see removed. Just fits better since removed starts with an r too.

Programming@programming.dev•Can you suggest any online typing game for measuring the speed and accuracy of kids in real time ? It's preferable that it's in the form of graphics like video games, which the kids enjoy playing
2·4 days agoWhen I was a kid, there was a game like missile command where letters would drop from space and typing the letter would launch a missile which would destroy the letter. I can only find full word versions of that game now online. Was really hoping to find a single letter version for learning where the keys are.

Canada@lemmy.ca•Sweden's Saab considering Canada for its Gripen jet assembly
111·4 days agoThere’s a long history to the F35 purchase and I wouldn’t lay it all on Trudeau after all the sunk costs. I’d more lay it on Stephen Harper for not exploring other options.
Google AI summary
The procurement became a politically contentious issue, particularly after the Conservative government announced the F-35 as the sole option without a competitive bidding process in 2010.

Alberta@lemmy.ca•‘It is up to us’: Alberta Federation of Labour to prepare for general strike ‘if necessary’ in response to Bill 2
3·5 days agoI thought that was weird as well until the article explained that it’s kinda quoting a former Prime Minister.
“To play on the words of wartime Prime Minister Mackenzie King: ‘Not necessarily a general strike, but a general strike if necessary.’”
90% obscurance will make the sky darker, especially if it was a cloudy day.
No issue here. Do you have any other YouTube extensions that might be conflicting? I am also running Enhancer for Youtube.

12·8 days agoIf Trump had said there would be a full investigation, I’d assume there was nothing to hide. “Bad Fuel” and “nothing to hide” makes me think the Captain was drunk and they’re hiding something.

Actually that sorta makes sense.

7·8 days agoYeah, I saw the source and cringed a bit. Sorry, shoulda found a different site.
I learn best by doing, so for me the work is actually really important for reinforcing what I’ve learned. If I don’t have a way to apply what I’ve learned it’ll be lost pretty quickly.
Why do you think there wasn’t traffic?
The eBay link I got the picture from says it’s from 1975.

Did a double take on that bumper sticker.
