One of the most frequently suggested beginner distros is Linux mint. It’s great, it’s stable, it’s what I use and while it’s not exactly cutting edge, or necessary the prettiest distro, it’s great for beginners and will feel pretty familiar coming from windows.

Pop_os! And bazzite are more “gaming focused” if that’s more your style, but I’ve never had an issue gaming with Linux mint.

Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter terribly much. Pick one, install it to a new drive and try it out. If you don’t like it, pick another one.

Idk what country you are in, or where you live, but you are absolutely not required to drive a car to participate in society. A car is a luxury item, a privilege. Car companies have been brainwashing the public for a hundred years with pro-car propoganda so it may seem necessary but it definitely isn’t.

Trains, trams, busses, taxis, bikes, walking. These are all options available to pretty much everyone. No insurance required.

Now that I think of it, at least where I live the level of insurance you actually need to legally drive is included in your registration.

So maybe what you’re saying true for you and whatever area you live in, but it’s definitely not universally true

technically you will still be able to install apps from outside the play store, but the developer will need to verify their identity with google.

Of course, most developers will refuse to do so (myself included), and so most apps will not be able to be installed. From a technical perspective, installing apps from other sources will still be allowed. So i can see judges ruling that this is not a feature removal.

You and I both know this is google killing non play store apps, but I don’t think the tech illiterate judges will see it that way.
