I’m reading Stranger in a Strange Land and How to do Nothing.
I’m really liking stranger in a strange land. What he imagined as sci-fi is interesting especially if you remember it’s written in the 60s. Lots of dialog, which I enjoy.
I’m not loving how to be perfect. I’m about 25% through, and it feels like most of it could have just been a blog post. Very verbose for the content provided.
I love my Kobo Libra Colour!
I have only good things to say about it.
That last point really puts it above and beyond any other e-reader out there!
Just finished Martyr! and now I’m reading Neuromancer.
Martyr! was good, though I didn’t really enjoy the last couple chapters. It felt rushed to meet a deadline.
I’m only about 20% through Neuromancer. It’s good so far. Sci-fi is my go to.
I’m currently reading Martyr! I’m about two thirds of the way through. I like it, but I definitely like all the other characters more than the main guy.
I use storygraph exclusively. The app is slow sometimes, but the upsides are worth it. It doesn’t share any data with other parties, and it isn’t part of Amazon to name a few.
Also, the monthly review graphics it generates are very pleasing!

I finished Three Bags Full and How to be Perfect.
Three Bags Full wasn’t my favorite, but the last third was quite good. I was really surprised that I missed all the signs for who the killer was in the end, and that made me reflect a bit.
How to be Perfect started out strong, but became a bit of a drag. It felt like it went from exploring ethics to the author trying to find ways to feel better about the things he’s done. I also felt like he misrepresented some philosophers, but not egregiously. I still think it’s a good intro to ethics read for anyone interested.
Currently made it through the first two Bobiverse books and just started the third. The first chapter of the first book almost made me put it down because he’s a cringey, basic, rich guy, but that changes quickly. Easy reads, but a fun concept. I’ll definitely read all five books.
Just finished System Collapse by Martha Wells (book seven in the Murderbot series). I liked all the books in this series, and they are an easy recommend!
Currently reading How to be Perfect by Michael Schur and Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann.
How to be Perfect is a good intro to ethics written by the creator of The Good Place. If you’re interested in learning about ethics and don’t know where to start I’d recommend it.
I’m only a couple chapters into Three Bags Full, so I don’t have much to say yet. The premise is a flock of sheep solving the murder of their herder. It’s enjoyable so far.
Oh gotcha. I totally agree the two characters voices are so close! I had to go back a couple times in the beginning to recheck who’s part I was currently reading.
Oh, I had no idea it was divisive. It won a Hugo, a Nebula, and was Amazon’s top seller in sci-fi for a time.
Is it because it’s an epistolary novel?
I’m reading “This is How You Lose the Time War” and “His to Be Perfect” currently.
I recommend both of them!
How to do Nothing - I’m about halfway through now and liking it more, but not a lot. Still waiting for actionable items instead of the author just quoting a bunch of other writers.
A Confederacy of Dunces - I read the first chapter a while back and bounced off it, because the main guy is too insufferably realistic to how many Americans are. Started it again and I’m really enjoying it now.
