Well my first reply is: setting up yor own router is like to learn driving with a touring car. You just need to know a lot to set up/handle everything properly. Its just not easy and in m opinion the most wrong point to start.

DNS-wise I would like to recommend something like pihole. To me it was my first thing I installed and used until this day and also the handling of DNS is quite easy. Maybe you should consider lerning other things before setting up your own router.

Würde es nur um “rechten müll” gehen, wäre es schon schwer genug die Betreiber zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Aber es geht dabei mMn. um erheblich manigfaltigere Probleme. Und die Betreiber der Plattformen sind auch offenbar nicht bereit im Sinne der existierenden Gesetze der einzelnen Länder Inhalte zu Filtern. Was wahrscheinlich auch nur in einem bestimmten Rahmen möglich wäre.

Denn Gesetze gibts schon zu genüge. Durchsetzen ist allerdings wie immer schwierig. Aber ein pauschales Gesetz durchsetzen welches die gesamte Plattform unzugänglich macht ist da sicher viel einfacher.

Und? Wer hat Hoffnung, dass die Mächtigen in Europa es nicht begrüßen, langsam und heimlich die tollen Amerkanischen Verhältnisse auch zu bekommen?

When you are talking about “popular” games, you mean service games that are often some kind of multiplayer games. Each of them binds a lot of players and is big and popular, indeed. But these are only a few compared to the amount of games that have been released in the past decade. Let alone released games from 2024 that are listed on imdb.com are 1551 Imdb.com

So yes, I can imagine 90% is right since the most games are no service games and do not require some shitty kernel level anti cheat.

I use Trilium and I like it. The first thing I would like to mention: Trilium is stale and there is Trilium Next the official successor… More or less… If you choose to try, start with the one that is still in development.

But to be fair, I does not use it as I wanted to. My plan was to use it completly with markdown but I am to dumb or ignorant to do it right. So I simply use the wysiwig style integration to style my texts.

I will watch a video that shows me how to properly use markdown in there.

On the other hand, actually I think about switching to some AsciiDoc Notes/Wiki stuff. Simply because I like the way AsciiDoc works…

Naja, für viele wird allein die kompatibiltät mit dem eigenen schon vorhandenen Gerät sein die das verhindert. Sowohl das aktuelle als auch das vorherige gerät taucht in der Kompatibilitätsliste nicht auf.

Auch ist das neuste Gerät das ich eben entdeckt hab ein Xiaomi Tablett von 2023. Allerdings ist es auch das einzige von 2023.

Auch sowas hält davon ab. Jlar ist mir bewusst warum das so ist, aber selbst die aktuellen fairphones sind ja nicht dabei.

Hmm… Ich weiß nicht ob ich verstehe was du sagen willst.

Die Leute sind ja dennoch kacke im Umgang miteinander, sobald es viele werden. Vielleicht sinds auch nur die falschen Leute die dabei mitkommen, aber all das würde sich wahrscheinlich nicht über Infrastruktur ändern lassen. Sowas hält mich auch davon ab irgendwas zu schreiben. Einfach weil ich keine Lust drauf hab mich über miese Antworten zu Ärgern.

Aktuell fühlt sich lemmy wie das gute alte Forum an, ok bis guter Umgangston, extra-nieschiges Gefühl inklusive 😊

Aus genau diesem grund finde ich es auch nicht schlimm, dass lemmy nicht so bekannt ist. Auch wenn ein wenig mehr user schon manchmal ganz gut wären. Aber wie es halt laufen kann hat man ja an/bei reddit gesehen. Das muss sich nicht wiederholen
