So we are just killing suspected criminals now? No due process, no detainment, no burden of proof? What do we do with nasty criminals that have been convicted of multiple serious crimes? Like, I dunno, more than thirty?

Now wait a minute…I’ve been hearing all year that the need for military and national guard in the country is to protect federal buildings.

Well, there’s one facet. It seems that there are plenty more that would keep someone not allowed to work from working, especially for the police. Hell, I’ve been barred from working for not bringing in updated paperwork that was required every 3 years.
My knee jerk reaction is that this person is on the police force, they are obviously allowed to be in, and work in, the US. I’m just trying to get a better understanding.

Someone please help me understand, because I don’t think I do. In today’s world, how would someone with no documentation be able to apply for a police job, pass the background checks, carry a firearm, properly fill out tax forms, etc etc etc.
I’ve had issues applying for stuff as a well documented citizen. I cannot imagine it would be possible as an illegal, especially with larger corporations/entities, but maybe I just misunderstand the process.

That is still the law, unless they have an imminent reason to enter, such as someone screaming for help. Can they make up a reason? Sure. However, we cannot just give our rights up, or the battle is already lost.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, LET THESE THUGS INTO YOUR HOME WITHOUT A JUDICIAL WARRANT.

I just had a very similar conversation last night with some family and friends. There was a time when I would ignore shitty people’s opinions… After all, neither of us will change each other’s minds. However, that’s exactly how we got here. Those seemingly fringe, hurtful opinions now decide things for everyone. I’m not quiet any more.
Only a matter of time before we find out.

It did not have sand in the paint. It had the adhesive strips on top of the paint.

So there’s this daycare down the street from me. It has had a rainbow colored access ramp for as long as I can remember.
It’s now painted black.
It could be completely unrelated, but I highly doubt it.

I just wanna know who to sue, because I haven’t received my check for protesting yet. You would think the radical left terrorist organization would have enough money to pay their bills.

Fantastic, glad it got you situated! Appreciate the update!

Use a flat piece of metal or wood and lay it across the cap, then turn. It will apply pressure to two of the nubs instead of one, preventing damage.

Not anywhere they are interested in being.

Ah yes, but definitely close to an international airport.

This is like a group project in school. Is it your fault that another member didn’t complete their part and the project received a failing grade? Nope. Did you still receive a failing grade? Yup. We failed. All of us. I’m with you that regular people aren’t to blame for the actions of the state, but that changes nothing. Here we are…with an F on the report card. I didn’t earn this grade, and neither did you. Now it’s on us to drag that grade back up, as a group.

I still stand by my comment. Four years later, and we are still sitting in the bullshit for round two. We, as a country, failed the task at hand.

This is the point I keep reminding myself of. We had four years to do anything at all. We all knew version 2.0 would be back like deja vu but worse, and we (as a country) just let it.

They already did… So… Yes!
Kinda the opposite situation, but still applies. I am bi, and I was recently at a drag show with my partner. I’m male, and my partner is female. We won a raffle that included pride merch. Someone at the table next to us made a comment to the effect of, “of course the straight people won.” I looked at the type of food on their table, leaned over to the table, pointed, and said, “This guy loves burgers. Can you believe he doesn’t like pizza?”
It took them a minute to figure it out, but they got around to it.
It’s not always easy to shrug off what other people think, but it gets better with practice. Live how you want to. Random people won’t give you a second thought outside of the present, so do not give their opinions more weight than they deserve.
Lastly, if a partner is put off by your open communication about your sexuality, it’s time to find a better fit.
