World News@lemmy.world•Surgeons remove up to 100 magnets - which have been banned in the country but bought online on Temu - from New Zealand teen’s gutEnglish
92·4 days agoThe magnets, which have been banned in New Zealand since January 2013, were bought on online shopping platform Temu, they said They did not. One could argue that the ban may or may not make sense (preferably after looking up the specifics), but your statement is wrong.
You successfully created roughly 50% of a meme. Now, where is the rest of it?
The trials will continue until research improves.

Baked beans are fucking brilliant, you should broaden your culinary horizon
I can think of a few, actually
I get that you were joking, but maybe don’t equate these two. Anyhoo, have a good day!
I hope you get to enjoy lots of time together :)
I agree, but back then any institution that would actually enforce or even advocate for humans rights in post-war Germany was gone. With the effective dissolution of the league of nations and years of total war, these men effectively dug their own graves (and those of millions of others, unfortunately), because there was noone left to advocate for humane conduct.
“again”
And no one claimed it would. Quite the opposite, OC seems to (edit:) condemn both.

Philippines@lemmy.world•"Speak English only" "Don't speak in Filipino"English
5·21 days agoI know stories from some 40 to 50 years ago, when talking in a regional dialect could get you in trouble at school. From what I can tell we have as a society moved past that, and actually cherish local dialects and variations, but they are in decline regardless.

For me, it’s the other way around
