1·10 months agoThat’s right. I use unraid so I have my photo external share mounted as /library and immich uploads as a /immich_photos share.
The only thing that breaks is my PC when I try to run most jobs concurrently. Just be patient with it. I’m using external libraries instead of importing directly to immich storage
1·10 months agoI keep seeing different versions of this and instead of posting spinoffs of it, why don’t we have one central repository that we keep promoting and improving. This would make it easier and easier for normal people to adopt new and privacy conscious solutions.
51·10 months agoThe school board here uses Google, and Microsoft… I emailed their board and the province’s privacy commissionaire asking why. I grew up with an agenda, and that shit worked better than using a website and email for JK/SK aged kids.
I agree but having two major countries using this might be a good move for more efforts from nations. I know Canada still uses all M$FT platforms and recently moved to EXO.
Purpose built projects like this would be easy for public servants to adopt and adapt their workflow.
In Ontario! The new optional Ultra-Low Overnight price plan provides:

I have solar panels that generate a moderate amount of energy, heat pump, and electric (heat pump) furnace and hot water tank plus two electric cars. Home Assistant has been such a dream to maximize the low energy and self-generated energy.
I have debated adding some batteries, but the amount of energy we use, especially at -30 c, it’s cost prohibitive.
I need to look into this again. I had it installed at the beginning of the winter and found it wonky. Heating during peak hours and not doing a thing when we pay .02$/kWh
But is it $1?
