Some of these complexes are 40+ apartments and defenetitly have sketchy setups. I did do speed tests while I was there since reliable Internet is necessary for my job. Most came back with sub par results but and Ethernet connection to the access point yielded around 240 down 200 up.

My main fear is the terms of condition of using the network… Some of these places use deep packet inspection and while I’m not worried myself due to already being privacy oriented it’s others on the network I’m worried about.

Same here, while this was a few years back it’s still relevant. My girlfriends parents are helicopter parents and would have a back door into everything if they could. So the one day I noticed that her mother had said to me that she doesn’t mind us going to movies two weeks from then. This was only said between the two of us in a text. This was a good opportunity to switch her over to signal. She asked me if there is a way to check if she was in anything else so I had her change password and move over to a password manager instead of the paper notebook in her room that her mother probably looked through.

Only a week later her mother did look through that notebook at one point for passwords because because she openly asked for it one day “so she could check her school email for scholarship information”, didn’t ask for just the password, but the whole notebook. From what I remember my girlfriend had a conversation with her mother about privacy that would turn into an argument.

Moral of the story, even people you are told you are supposed to trust aren’t trustworthy.

I get about 7 hours ish, but I wish I could get 8 hours. It’s amazing how much an hour can do but I feel amazing on 8 hours in the morning but sometimes feel like a zombie on 7 hours.

According to your logic, a 2wd w/ snow tires will be a 4wd w/ snow tires AND even with a locking rear diff. Have you ever been off roading or gone up a icy slope in the winter?

You live in canada, so buy something with both 4wd / 2wd. Having 2wd for the summer will save you gas money, and having 4wd means its safer to drive in snow (regarding safety from your vehicle and not others).

Make sure to check the oil dip stick and transmission dip stick too. And if the car is already when you get there turn it off first thing and just look through car.
