It’s neat that AI is already ruining the world in really tangible ways.

Ours is perfectly stable at highway speeds and is absolutely capable of greatly exceeding the speed limit if you are patient enough.

Most people don’t find turning the lights off and on burdensome enough to justify a whole lot of effort to avoid.

They probably have a commercial photo with the tray partly pulled out showing just the first two and had to have packaging that reflected that.

I pointed this out in his first term. He is the only president in my memory that didn’t walk into the office with a full team of their own advisors and staff members. He shows up with basically nobody but his employees and a bunch of random GOP back benchers because the dude has been in business for half a century without accumulating a single trusted business partner or even a couple of friends. Literally nobody likes this guy.

Same. I was like “this cannot possible be a hard drive and it cannot possible get plugged into that thing, that’s where the wifi card goes on a laptop.”

Its a problem if you don’t know to do it because the it is not intuitive if you aren’t familiar with hardware jumpers as a concept since this was one of the last holdovers from that era and befouled many a hobbyist. You build it and it “just doesn’t work” and “learn that jumpers are a thing” is pretty far down the list of things that most people troubleshoot when their new build won’t post.

Man, if you wanted to destroy the entire American tech sector it seems like dumping everything into a red herring product that won’t ever be more than a parlor trick would be a really good way to do it.

Are those the same guys that were going to stop him from deploying the national guard within the US, or the guys that wouldn’t ever pirate vessels, or fire missiles at fisherman and watch them drown?

But yeah, I’m sure we will see some integrity from US military leadership any day now.

Wouldn’t this rationale be equally applicable to a push up bra? Or really literally any garment that makes you look closer to the ideal of whatever gender you are? Like I bet there are plenty of cis men that would love to smooth their man boobs down so they look more like the ideal image of a man and numerous women that want to push up their little boobies into something that looks more “womanly” isn’t that gender affirming care too?

The 40mpg highway mileage that the Fit gets tells me that you have different priorities than I do on the highway.

I think the REAL issue is that when they sell those little cars people do buy them, but they are people who would have bought a larger more expensive car if that little car wasn’t available.

We have a little Honda fit. Great car. Also a pretty popular car that you see on the road all the damned time. Honda still sells the car globally, but they stopped selling it in the US. Not because it wasn’t selling, but because it was selling to people that would have bought HRVs or Civics (which cost more) instead.

The most distressing part is that appears to be an adult large.

Don’t worry. Future generations will have an opportunity to dive all these problems after AI destroys a whole generation of useful development along with all the repositories of prior research.

Right, but it means they cannot ignore their own analysis just because it feels right.

Not unless the Democrats flush half their own leadership because NONE of the DNC leaders have any interest in actually doing anything about Trump.
