This isn’t relevant, even when we’ve been slammed local offices separate the ballots and bring them to a hub or county seat if it’s within a week of an election. Postal workers actually care about doing their jobs.

This mostly would harm older Republicans, but it’s also not an actual change. Postmarks aren’t applied on receipt unless you give your mail to a window clerk, FCM hasn’t been next day guaranteed for a decade, and we separate out ballots if there’s any time concern before it goes to a sorting facility.

Yeah, I saw this getting spread around and facepalmed, I’m a carrier and it’s basically not a change – just logistics changes that can have an impact +/- a day. When first class mail went off the next day standard a few years ago is when this really changed, and it was about business efficiency and prioritizing packages. I also facepalm when I see ballots in outgoing the day before an election, but we run those separate to the county seat or a closer hub office to get them delivered on time.
Yep, the Undying Lands over here.
Secret identity of Corn Man, who wears a suit powered by ethanol?
Not a furry, but thicc.horse is a crazy good instance name.
A year ago. It took about 9 months to find something which was a good value proposition beyond just being a home to live in, and my wife wasn’t ready to move before that.
Just as a real example, 70-80k/year is very feasible in the Philadelphia area. I saved up around 90k across a decade (with a worse income…) and bought a place for slightly over 350k. The thing is you NEED that initial down payment amount to make those numbers work, PMI with less than a conventionally mortgage down payment is a debt trap. Most people aren’t financially literate, and people with large amounts of capital take advantage of that in the lending and real estate industries.
If you can settle or pool resources this all gets easier, and if you have disabilities or make poor financial decisions it becomes impossible and you rent trap yourself. Renting still makes more sense for people with jobs that move around, though.

The problem is that he did, in that moment, and then media and people walked it back and minimized it for 3.5 years until by the time everyone voted again, well, he didn’t go to prison so maybe they made it up or it wasn’t so bad? See also: his felonies were “political”.
Truth is that most Americans are so busy living or surviving that they don’t go learn or seek out different views to become more well-rounded. Propaganda works.

If you read the vision for global space advancement/leadership as “America left behind and uninvolved” then I guess it kind of makes sense?
People try to avoid known risk factors when pregnant, some stuff really is bad to roll the dice on. A lot of newly pregnant people also go overboard avoiding stuff that’s classified as dangerous. It’s not an unusual thing to say.

Rawstory sensationalizes small bits of real info, constantly. He’ll probably pop up tomorrow.

I don’t disagree with the content of the article, but this is AI written from a low quality (known for being unreliable) source. This is the type of content designed to amplify sentiment instead of shed light or do useful critique.

It’s the Onion – satire satirizes. Also, it’s already a feature for women to request female drivers and preview their reviews. This is just taking it to its (il)logical conclusion.

The story specifically includes documents (not the note, the PDF) with an (alleged) conversation between the suspect and his roommate on discord. Could be fake, but given anything you write on there is police accessible and he confessed, twice, at some point you have to admit it’s a stretch not to believe it.
Insulting me doesn’t change the facts.
He was probably gay or pan but that’s got nothing to do with him coming from MAGA background and snapping over the hate. That’s the real story, here.

Never trust initial reporting on an event like this. His name was associated legally with the address they shared, looks like he did confess to it privately.

Yeah, the circus around it is insanity, but you have to be able to adjust your view on an event as the truth comes out, even when it’s as politically charged as this.

Not sure about this. There’s been more information coming out and I was team Groyper on his ideology but he may have just done an about face after living with his trans roommate (who is cooperating with police, and shocked he did this).
Quoting AP here:
Cox said the suspect’s partner was transgender, which some politicians have pointed to as a sign Robinson was targeting Kirk for his anti-trans views. But authorities have not said whether it is relevant as they investigate Robinson’s motive.
“The roommate was a romantic partner, a male transitioning to female,” Cox said. “I can say that he has been incredibly cooperative, this partner has been very cooperative, had no idea that this was happening.”
There’s a sort of inertia within the organization, you both can’t get rid of those people nor make them care more than they currently do. I think management has been trying to kill them off for decades. :)
