US economy about to get that Chanos Snap

hell yeah, with scarcity poised to go up, now’s the time to invest in Funko Pop futures

Off-topic, but:
ready to shelve the ministerial order
Interesting, I always thought that the verb was to shelf.

Veritasium is still one of my favorite channels on Youtube. Derek is an incredible communicator. It’s not entirely focused on the topics you mentioned, but he has some great videos about space.

granting the white house the exact amount of respect it deserves, I love it

Felony Footlong

one thing I enjoy about his videos is how the automatic captions never get his name right, and we get Creepy Anna, Brick Piano and the like

“mein Gott, look at all this entartete Kunst in der Spotify top zehn”

I hope it’s from cats…
a million years later: “khajiit has wares if you have coin” ah shit they invented capitalism again

I can’t give you a very informed answer about that, but considering how many guns get transferred from the police to the factions, it would not surprise me even a little bit.

Yes, but I’ve also read that the police cornered lots of supposed members of CV, the criminal faction targeted by the operation, and pushed them into the woods close to the neighborhood, where they were executed by a rival faction, TCP. I don’t know nearly enough about the whole situation to be able to make any truly informed statements here, but it would not surprise me at all if this move was orchestrated between the police and TCP.
Also, all the dead bodies (70 of them, last time I checked) in the woods were retrieved by locals. The police either executed them and left them there to rot, or pushed them into the woods knowing that they would be tortured and executed by rival factions. Also, the police is now investigating the people who went into the woods to retrieve the bodies because apparently that’s tampering with a crime scene.
It’s real fucking grim.

Immensely valuable post, camarada. Thanks for sharing your insight!

That’s what I would expect from classic billionaire Bruce Wayne, not from working class Absolute Batman

Oh, absolutely, there’s some really dark history out there. What I mean is that it’s one of the better places to live right now. No wonder billionaires want to build their bunkers next to Hobbit homes.

Oh man this brings me back to 2015, the year I spent in Dunedin… grabbing a cone of hokey pokey at Rob Roy Dairy and then going to the Octagon… I have incredibly fond memories of Aotearoa and the wonderful ice cream you could have for very cheap is definitely part of what made it special.
Truly the least bad Western country in the world.

As lots of people here have already suggested, work on your cardio and learn how to get the fuck out of there.
One thing that nobody has suggested so far but I’ve seen being said over and over again by self-defense “specialists” (for what it’s worth) is to get a strong flashlight. It’s legal to carry everywhere, blinds the other person without risking spraying yourself with pepper spray, can be deescalated, contrary to a gun or knife, and is, generally speaking, a very useful thing to have with you at all times anyway. I’m not an EDC guy, but I carry my Wurkkos FC11C with me at all times.

good to know, I’ll save my lungs for my vape and breathe boring air through my ass instead

I mean, it could have been just their first kiss, for god’s sake

The Stand is probably the only book of his that I actually really like, even though it has plenty of problems of its own
This is hard to believe, a PC gaming console that runs games at 4k/60FPS and is a 160mm cube that makes zero noise and stays cool? What kind of eldritch sorcery is this? What sort of unholy daemon lingers within the Gabecube?
This is giving me big Kickstarter scam vibes, but it’s fucking Valve so surely they have to deliver something at least, right? If they can actually make this thing work and be reasonably affordable then this will be huge for PC gaming, I think.
