Don’t a lot of these smaller territories actually want to be part of Britain though?
While it may not be perfect, if you’re a very small territory then having Britain as security is probably a good thing at this point.
As much as people like to rag on Britain, it’s really not that bad in the modern day.

1·1 year agoIronically, I think AI may prove to be most useful in video games.
Not to outright replace writers, but so they instead focus on feeding backstory to AI so it essentially becomes the characters they’ve created.
I just think it’s going to be inevitable and the only possible option for a game where the player truly chooses the story.
I just can’t be interested in multiple choice games where you know that your choice doesn’t matter. If a character dies from option a, then option b, c, and d kill them as well.
Realising that as a kid instantly ruined telltale games for me, but I think AI used in the right way could solve that problem, to at least some degree.

1·2 years agoYes!
It’s a problem that a lot of people have, some are willing to acknowledge it and try to take steps to work around it.
Some people were born into the social media generation and have been fed a product designed to be addictive their entire lives.

0·2 years agoI looked into this before, but I found the options were too stripped down.
Ultimately I need:
- Maps
- Music streaming
- Web browser
- Wallet functionality
Then there are miscellaneous apps that I need as well, some that don’t have browser functionality (local bike rental app) or something like a workout tracker.
Thing is, if you start adding functionality for the above then it’s just a regular smart phone and there’s nothing stopping you using the apps you’re trying to avoid :/
Honestly, that kinda happened to me.
Well, I had a blood test because I was having heart palpitations and under extreme stress, so not exactly “just collapsed”. But they found I have hypothyroidism, and life’s much better and much easier with the medication.
Turns out you’re not supposed to feel tired after doing nothing, sleep 12 hours, then wake up tired…
Annoyingly this must’ve been an issue for years, but I was raised to “shut up and get on with it”, and told the problem was that I’m “just lazy” :/
Is there anyone on the internet who doesn’t know Daft Punk or at least this specific song 🤔
Fuck you, be kind to yourself, dipshit.
Right, but what the fuck happened in Stoke??

0·2 years agoYeah, but for porn tho…
Just beat your meat to standard stuff or meet someone IRL, rather than developing some unhealthy attachment to someone on OF who’s exploiting your desperation.
I dunno, I guess if you just wanna pay for porn you like then it’s fine, but some people develop very unhealthy attachments/obsessions to supplement a real human connection.

1·2 years agoI find it’s helpful when you get like 18 upvotes and 22 downvotes.
If I just saw 4 downvotes I’d be thinking “did I really say something that stupid?”, so it’s nice to know that at least some people are on the same wavelength as me.
But I wake up so snug tho and just need a few more mins

0·2 years agoI just don’t see the point of upgrading every two years, and even if I did I’m buying used at this point.
I’m on iPhone and despite all the fanatics creaming their pants over each release, very little actually seems to change.
I know a guy with a 6 year old phone, and when he listed off the features it made me realise how little things have actually changed since it was released.
“Parents take you to a psychologist”
Can’t relate to that bit, my mother refused to even take me to the opticians because she insisted there was nothing wrong with me.
These days she thinks I’m making the ADHD stuff up, and occasionally asks me why I don’t just take off my glasses for a while…

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve had moments of pure despair as I feel like one’s gonna tear me in half.
A real porcelain shatterer.
