Some individuals are much more sensitive to the latter two, but I don’t feel much of a downgrade when I come home to my crappy old monitors, hence I joke that my eyes suck.
If it involves much creative vision, I prefer working alone. If it’s more grunt work, I’m happy to work in a group and at least get some time to socialize with colleagues out of it.
AI is just another tool in the box, never a substitute for an actual person.
Hard to say personally since I can’t remember the last time I had a real-life conversation go tense. I’ll entertain some pretty wild thoughts, but once the other party centers the debate over emotion at the expense of evidence, I’d say that’s the point I start losing patience.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Slate Truck/SUV ends up being just marketing hype, but I’m keeping my eye on it since they promise a minimalist EV where you plug in the smarts in the form of your own smartphone. Otherwise, it’s just a dumb EV, which is how I’d keep it.

7.5/10. I find that most people I encounter, even if they support causes against those which I support, would agree with my viewpoints, as long as I don’t say “socialism”. That is an unfortunate consequence of being raised in an environment of capitalist realism.
Where’s the other 2.5 points? I’ll happily listen to my opponents recount the life experiences and thought processes that make them oppose my viewpoints. But for my own sanity, I refuse to engage with those who merely throw attacks at me.

A noble goal in mind and I’m glad that the output of ChatGPT works for you. I’m not against LLMs in principle, but anything freshly spat out by an LLM is for you and you only. If AI was only used as an aid but you understand the codebase, document it and make it clear. Otherwise, you leave the assumption of vibe-coding open.
Mint is a very good option for this purpose. In my case, it’s Debian, but with a much more involved process.
The only ones who ask me to help with installing Linux are either very close friends or people in my family with whom I spend more time, and they tend to be curious about the exact setup that I’m using. I just so happen to have a fully-configured system image in a VM that I duplicate onto my machines, so I work with my friend or family to figure out what they need and how they want it to look, then I clone that VM, customize it to taste, and let them try it out. If they like it, I image it to their machine, make sure it’s bootable, work out any machine-specific issues, set a new password and encryption key, and make sure that unattended-upgrades is working.
Everyone else just asks me to help install Windows. I have a penchant for LTSC, with an obligatory trick up my sleeve.

It helps for sure, but it’s difficult to tell exactly how much, since unless you have a rooted device, NetGuard installs at the user level while Google’s services are privileged and are known to bypass VPNs and VPN-like apps, including NetGuard, on occasion.

As a GrapheneOS user, having the fastest hardware is not the goal. Pixels can be purchased for a very reasonable price second-hand or from discount resellers. Apple’s hardware is indeed remarkable and iOS being closed-source is not the root of the issue - it’s that they insist on a heavily locked down bootloader, so I will not for a moment consider Apple unless by some miracle they open up their phones to third-party OSes.
The main demographic of GrapheneOS users are in the west and the GrapheneOS team are a meticulous bunch. Why would they partner with an OEM whose hardware does not work with western cellular networks?
