I am not a lawyer, so not sure if I understand everything that is going on.
It was appealed. The appeals court put a temporary stay on the order that would return control to the governor. The appeals court hasn’t ruled yet, as far as I know. They may be waiting because there is another hearing Friday with the original Judge.

The article leaves out that Republican subcommittee chairman, Rep. Clay Higgins of Louisiana put the committee into recess after a vote was proposed so he could try and kill it. Then after they did vote, he lied and said the vote failed. Congressman Garcia had to ask for a roll call vote to verify that it really passed.
