I used to keep a backed up base image to reflash a corrupted sd card. But after the 3rd or 4th time i knew i had to find a better solution.

I eventually moved to docker on the pi. But the pi would randomly go down. I had two of them for redundancy but eventually one of them ended up corrupting its sd card and shortly later the other went down unexpectedly while i was at work and the whole family lost connection without knowing how to fix it.
Decided to move to to dns blocking on the router. Basically its easy to reboot for the family and has yet to fail (more than a year now).

I like it but just not on a Pi. I found it too unstable. I found it easier to host in a docker container.
Although these days i just use blocklists on my router.

I write a journal and recently i have been organizing my photo archive with embedded captions, tags, gps, etc…
I dont think anyone will ever care to read this stuff. Maybe some llm in the future will be able to digest all of this so a curious descendant might be able to ask questions to it like what did Terminal do for work or some such thing.

Well thats about 70% of the population of South Korea
Oh this hits right in the feels. I always try to remind myself that this is his childhood and it will leave an impression for the rest of his life. Then i start worrying about not doing enough etc and anxiety ensues

Similar to Reddit. Everything here seems to be more tech oriented and most communities are much quieter than reddit.
Also be prepared to follow the same topic/community across multiple servers. Reddit is older so the default community for a given topic had been established. Not so much here

Technically yes but not super practical. Normally you want to ferment in a larger vessel with a larger starting volume to end up with your desired final volume. For example, 22 liters into a 25 liter fermentor (think 20% extra headspace for primary). The extra head space allows space for kraussen. Then you can rack off the yeast and end up closer to something like a desired 20 liters into a keg. Also since you are making mead fruit is often used that would be difficult in a keg.
I would recommend ferment in fermentor then rack into keg for conditioning etc. no one wants a pour of your fermentations yeast cake.

Micromatic is correct its fairly unusual to tear down the keg spear. My recommendation is to clean it as it was designed to be cleaned with a pump.
Basically you would need a basin for what ever you want to run through the keg (rinse, caustic, sani, etc) to feed the pump. Connect the pump’s outlet to the liquid port on the coupler. Connect a hose to the co2 line to flow back into the basin (remember to remove the co2 check valve). Couple the coupler onto the keg and invert the keg (ie turn upside down). Then run the pump.
Whatever solution should pass through the spear spray the walls of the keg then drain out through the co2 pathways in the spear. This effectively is what a keg washer is doing and will pretty thoroughly clean the part you are concerned about.
A couple of safety tips: wear eye protection and make sure you purge co2 out of the keg prior to adding caustics
Good luck!

Anything that would be considered plaintext (markdown, org, etc…) or something easily portable like html export.
I always think about these things in the sense of how would i pass this journal on to less technically capable family members if it became necessary.

Nice looking project. Will there be amy export/backup functionality? I wouldnt want to keep a journal in a young project that doesnt have some sort of migration option.
Im pretty appimage is stable to use on your system. It contains all of the dependencies inside of it. Just one file for all of its needs. Only issue that ive had is that you need to manually update them (ie download the newest version).

Several assholes i knew became cops

Yes i do pay attention to it and normally wont download ones that have data collection on apps that have no need for that.
Apple requires that binaries are submitted to them prior to be ing placed on the app store. This where the app gets analyzed to see if it matches their policies etc…. Im sure there are flaws in this system but i generally trust it since its in apples favor to have this info be correct.

Great work on doing a decoction mash. Im far far too lazy to ever do that. Do you think it benefited the beer?

Looking nice! Tell us more about the beer
Hahah very true
I stopped dual booting windows 10 just because it kept messing up my boot loader when it performed certain updates

Sounds like to me that maybe its not about how thick their skins are but about not taking the job personally. If you view a job just performing a function for money and just focus solely on the job it would look the same. Ignore other peoples drama, personalities, work ethics etc. Just do the job and focus on that ignore the drama, the gossip, and focus on doing your job well.
I manage staff and my best employees would seem stoic but really they just had focus, good work ethics, and a kind of get in and get out mentality. No gossip, no hanging out with their coworkers. Work was work then go home.
Yep, here’s an example. Was out to dinner in South Korea with a group of people the day President Yoon (the guy who called martial law then rescinded in less than 24 hours) was impeached. I raised my glass and pronounced a toast to his impeachment. Turns out half the table was pro Yoon and pretty upset about it. Whoops
