Ja und nein. Es kommt halt auf die vorhandene Sozialisierung an. Und die Totalverweigerer, in deren sozialen Umfeld Totalverweigerung unakzeptabel ist, die haben auch sicherlich psychische Probleme. Für die ist es dann Schocktherapie. Nicht optimal, aber wir werden sehen. Man kann zwar jemanden dazu zwingen zur Arbeit zu gehen, aber nicht auch gute Arbeit zu leisten. Ich wette, in manchen Fällen wird es funktionieren, und in anderen Fällen werden Arbeitgeber das Arbeitsamt verfluchen.

Lies meinen Kommentar doch noch mal aufmerksam. Die meisten Leute verachten Totalverweigerer. Die meisten Leute haben Freude und Verwandte, vor denen sie ihr Ansehen nicht verlieren wollen. Und dann gibt’s noch so etwas, wie Selbstrespekt.

Einfacher gesagt, als getan. Einen Mindestlohn gibt es ja bereits. Aber ja, das Problem ist auf jeden Fall, dass die Löhne zu gering sind. Und dass die Steuern auf Arbeit höher sind, als auf Erben, sagt dann schon alles.

Die wenigsten wollen Arbeitslosengeld beziehen. Und sich dem Arbeitsamt zu widersetzen ist auch nichts für jeden. Die meisten verachten solche Leute. Und sie wollen nicht selber so sein. Und auf keinen Fall wollen sie solche Leute finanzieren. Und das gilt nicht nur für Geringverdiener.

Klar macht Merz das Problem mit Totalverweigerern größer, als es ist. Aber viel Sympathie bekommen diese Leute halt nicht.

Verstehe ich immer nicht.

Genau deshalb sage ich es ja hier. Weil egal, ob es die Bewohner der Lemmy-Blase verstehen, oder nicht, diese Leute gehen auch wählen.

Bleiben wir mal sachlich. Der Sozialstaat bleibt bestehen, es wird nur der Druck auf diejenigen erhöht, die selber nichts beisteuern möchten. Und das führt nicht zu mehr Terror. Leute, die das Gefühl haben trotz Arbeit kaum mehr zu bekommen, als Arbeitslose, führt hingegen zu mehr AfD Wählern. Das wahre Problem an dieser Regierung ist, dass sie Druck nur auf die Armen ausüben, und nicht auf die Reichen.

In my experience there is a huge gap between those that are smart and enthusiastic and those that are just average. I consider myself part of the former group and I can’t blame coworkers for just doing their job and go home. But it means the gap just widens.

Not sure if this is a good faith request or not. After all it’s not very hard to find information on the Houthies. I have heard a lot about them in the past decade or so. I can’t give you a comprehensive list of all of it. But Wikipedia has a good write up. Just look for “human rights violations”.

At the moment the Houthies are the only military group who consistently and physically oppose israel.

Hamas and Hezbollah are beat. That leaves the Houthies kinda by default. But their effect on Israel is extremely low.

I won’t judge their morals based on west leaders.

The Houthies are some of the worst people alive. Comparing them to democratically elected, peaceful leaders is insane. People posting this shit are no better than the Israeli extremists they oppose.

That’s exactly the point. It’s understandable that people want an end to the war. And now they are willing to give concessions. But Putin still wants political control over Ukraine. One way or another. Ukrainians may be willing to give up territory, but that won’t be enough for Putin. If anything the change in ukranian attitude will embolden him. So I don’t see much room for negotiations.

It gives a ton of people one more argument to deny the facts.

It’s also an emotional thing. It “vindicates” everybody who has been saying that nobody should trust these government reports. Either the new government has “fixed” the lies. Or the new government “also” lies. Either way, it muddies the water.
