[green, satisfied] I cooked enough food for two meals

[floating brain] I’m the logic part of your brain, eat half and keep the other half for later

[floating Marx head] I’m the Karl Marx part of your brain, share that meal with someone

[floating Garfield head] I’m the Garfield part of your brain, shove that shit down your mouth until you feel ill, then keep going

[green stares neutrally]

[green then has a deranged smile]

[green proceeds to shove the entire plate of food down their mouth]

[brain facepalms]

[Marx facepalms]

[Garfield is elongated]

to be fair to myself: i have started to get back on the vegan wagon and those meals are fairly calorie light. lol

I failed my first vegan phase because I kept making fries in huge quantities, big coconut milk curries, huge bean burritos, overindulging in hummus… legit had to temporarily go back to meat to avoid getting fat. Turns out nuts and grains were the missing element, they’re good at satiating hunger in small quantities.

Funny how we had opposite experiences lol.

my phases started out the same as yours:

i’ve been going in and out of vegan phase for the last 28 years and my first one was heralded in by accident because i couldn’t afford meat so i survived of my homemade bean burritos and it made me the fattest i had ever been in my entire life (so far) from all the calories. lol

i’ve since switched to leafy vegetables (eg cabbage, brussel sprouts, spinach) and in soup form because there’s SO MANY delicious bullions, stocks, & broths that i can try and it’s ultra easy to do with crockpots. its deliciousness has had the opposite desired impact on my weight, but atleast it’s better for some of my health indicator numbers.
