I live in an area where people ask you where you’re from and if you actually live in the neighborhood. They may assume you don’t speak English, like they have with my wife.

ICE has already gone through the town nextdoor, and I’m waiting for our turn. I’m light-skinned, but my wife and kids are dark with Mayan features. I fear that all anyone has to do to terrorize my family is call a hotline. We have all our citizenship documentation, but that doesn’t matter anymore.

I keep waiting for the day when I’m going to have to defend my family, but I might not even be around when things take place. What if they come take my wife while she’s at work? What if she goes shopping and never comes back?

I have nothing without my family. I have nothing.

    It might be time to leave the USA, if you can. I’m sorry to say that, but your family is more important than the country where you live. If you’re this afraid, it’s time to go somewhere that you’re not afraid to live.

      Thanks, we should have the talk of leaving to another country. We’re skilled and with higher education. I hope that’s worth something to possible destinations. We don’t have much money, but selling our house should help.

        So you’re saying we’d be much better off because we’d have single-payer health care, a less hyperlocalized education system, tax-funded post-secondary education, and we’d prioritize soccer in high school rather than a sport made up of barbarism in body armor?

        I’m really struggling to get the downside anymore. The Masons and the Gnostics ought to have paid their taxes and kept their heads down.

        Yeah, take on those armed people who are there looking for people to imprison, I’m sure you won’t end up in alligator alcatraz or in a slave labor facility in El Salvador. This is totally the same as 200 years ago when it was just whites oppressed and they whites could coordinate en-masse because the foreign military had limited resources and manpower. /s

          What do you have to lose? They are going to imprison and torture you anyway. Make them suffer and work for it. You don’t appease a bully, you make them bleed to understand. If only this was a free country with some amendments that would cover this situation…
