Thanks to everyone who gave feedback on the initial version, especially @[email protected] who convinced me to add Nosferatus! Feel free to suggest further revisions, anyone!
Who do YOU think is the greatest of all film Draculas?!?
I think I’d have to vote for the one in Sesame Street.
He’s the only one who really counts.

Technically there is another, thanks to the only good scene in this otherwise forgettable film:
I dig him too, but he’s technically Count von Count, not the character Dracula. (btw TIL that The Count has at least three vampire girlfriends, as well as a pet wolf and a cat.)
I assure you he still counts.
I will always be partial to Gary Oldman’s Dracula.

Haven’t seen all those movies but if it’s about following the book, the less aristocratic the better it is. The one in the book is a beast, not a gentleman.
Leslie Nielsen of course, but if we don’t count comedies Gary Oldman. Because I was a kid when I saw him as Dracula and had not seen the earlier and every one after I compared to my memory of Gary as Dracula.
Leslie Nielsen.
Loved Coppola’s Dracula since I was a kid, but I think Eggers’ Nosferatu is my new favourite. Needs another rewatch before I’m sure, though.
Yeah, I watched the latest Nosferatu while I was finishing up this meme, and the movie’s killer, my personal fave take on the character. I was wheezing from congestion yesterday, so I was like: “You… will… call… me… LORD!!!”
Might be a hot take, but I think Claes Kasper Bang deserves a spot on this list. His portrayal was nuanced, emotional and entertaining, and I really enjoyed the chemistry they had on screen with Dolly Wells. In general, Netflix Dracula is a hidden gem
Lugosi, Oldman, Lee in that order.
I think Claes Bang was a decent Dracula in the 2020 Netflix show.
