23·2 days agoI can imagine how shocking my posting patterns are to people who’ve made 1-38 posts in 3 years.
In these times especially, I think it’s important to stay current with what goes on, so I follow the news. Perhaps more importantly, I enjoy the process of posting on this platform known as a link aggregator.
I’m becoming more convinced that having my own communities is the best solution cause this is obviously too much for many to handle.

21·2 days agoNot a bot. The top mods know me. It’s sad that we live in a world in which skepticism is increasingly becoming the default.

I’m a bot because of how many posts I’ve made? Not like it’s nonsense. Many of them are cross-posts too.

1·3 days agoI don’t think it’s that weird, but I can imagine why others think so. I can focus very deeply on tasks like this for long periods of time with few distractions or breaks. It’s stimulating.
Right now I subscribe to many newsletters and other ways of gathering news to share here, but it takes hours each day to go through them all so I’ll probably reduce the subs in time. In addition, I’ve been doing a lot of research to find the best community(ies) for the subjects I post about. I have a fairly good idea now of what should go where.
I’ve been thinking to create more of my own communities, although I have mixed feelings about having multiple communities about the same subject, like how things are now with several communities for world news. Maybe with more compartmentalization.

I post more than just infographics. Please take a wider view than the span of a couple hours. I’ve created a structure for myself to gather infographics on a weekly basis on weekends when I’m off work. So yes, you can expect them to be posted on a Saturday or Sunday. It’s not my intention to share infographics based on bad or outdated information. I would’ve thought the UN World Urbanization Prospects is a reliable source of information.
You’ve gone way too far spamming your labels on me and my posts. I’m not a damn bot! The top mods know me. It seems difficult for people to imagine that I’m just really engaged.

1·3 days agoNot a bot, I promise. In an effort to primarily show authenticity, I’ve been copying and pasting the “Image Address” from the source into the URL of my dataviz posts. Perhaps it also saves space on the server, I’m not sure, but also since Lemmy is a link aggregator, I thought the Image Address would be more appropriate.
Since it seems to be causing issues and if people think it would be better, going forward I can just copy and paste the image itself.
Since others are offering alternatives, I’d like to share a tool I use: https://www.searchenginemap.com/

Would you like a timeline of when I get home from work, when I have a meal, and when I go to bed so you can draw up a quality infographic of my posting patterns?
Okay, so Daily Mail is a questionable source. My bad, I should have looked them up on Ground News, AllSides, Ad Fontes Media, and Media Bias Fact Check.
I do this to inform, to be a sort of “human network tower”, relaying information at a quick pace. It’s stimulating and I enjoy it.
Please get off me.
